If one can catch this in an IMAX, it could enhance the experience as long as the ticket prices are discounted. The visuals may be described as sentimental, but to me they were not overly so and there are a lot of beautiful images and loving photography. If it weren't for the 3D this could have been a straight-to-DVD release. I loved following the two story's and every day lives of the two women and of course the animals. It's educational for everyone, and gives kids a chance to see animals showing much more personality than they do during a typical day at the zoo. I went to see it in Imax 3D and came out inspired and uplifted. Born to Be wild is an amazing movie. Makes you think about what is out there in the world and how there is so much we can do to help others.
With bad guys you get to let it all out. His first dramatic arts exposure was on the stage including appearing in an all-African American production of the exuberant musical Hello, Dolly!. I was first named a best actor when I was 12 years old and it doesn't really mean anything when you get down to it, because there is no best. With that said, watching the two species play around their new homes is amusing. The two female experts followed in the documentary are wonderful role models, particularly to kids interested in zoology and nature, because they've dedicated their lives to researching and rescuing animals, as well as preserving their natural habitats. In both cases we experience a cuteness factor that would overwhelm just about anyone with the warm fuzzies. When you play good guys, it's kind of boring.
Show more Narrated by the soothing tones of It's hard to dislike a documentary that focuses on adorable baby animals. All in all, it's informative but it's not the most compelling nature doc. I am speechless and in awe of the work that these ladies do. As a member of the Florida Film Critics Circle, most of his time is spent reviewing upcoming movies. For a short 40 minutes Freeman does a first-rate job stirring up many emotions in the viewer. They cling to others for support. The Film is based of an amazing true story of two real life fairy godmothers and how one adopts and raises orphaned orangutans Dr. It may not be one of the best, most comprehensive and most innovative documentaries there has ever been made and in existence, but it is nonetheless educational, illuminating, thought-provoking, beautifully made and with a lot of emotional impact. We see the orangutans doing cute human-like behaviors such as drinking milk from soda bottles, bathing themselves and riding on the back of motorcycles.
The scenery is nice too, though not jaw-dropping, and the orangutans and elephants look incredible. But it would have been a novel idea to make this a true feature length film and document the science. If you screw it up you've screwed it up. She, along with her army of workers, attempt to emulate the care a mother elephant would give her offspring. Don't realistically expect your kids to demand to watch this over and over, since it is a documentary, and moves at a more adult pace. I would like them to show the lost of habitat more visually.
If you've got a cushion, where you land, you stay. Elaboration on the science of how these animals learn certain traits would have been nice though. A must-see for everybody with an interest in nature documentaries and I cannot praise the people in this video enough for what they do. The story features two different scientists whose vocations are to save orphaned creatures, nurse them to an appropriate age, and turn them back to their natural habitats, thus "born to be wild. I found myself laughing, crying, and feeling deeply moved by these animals and those who are saving them. We also see the elephants drinking lots of milk from bottles, playing soccer and adapting to their human surroundings.
