My favourite book is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This classic novel tells the story of Scout Finch, a young girl growing up in the Deep South during the 1930s. The book is narrated by Scout, who tells the story of her childhood and the lessons she learned about race, prejudice, and injustice.
One of the things I love most about this book is the way it tackles complex and difficult themes in a way that is both thought-provoking and accessible. Through the eyes of Scout, we see the world of Maycomb County and the people who live there in all its complexity and humanity. Scout's observations and insights about the people and events around her are honest and insightful, and they help us to understand the world in a deeper and more meaningful way.
Another thing I love about this book is the way it portrays the relationship between Scout and her father, Atticus Finch. Atticus is a compassionate and fair-minded lawyer who takes on a controversial case in defense of a black man accused of raping a white woman. Despite facing hostility and persecution from his community, Atticus stands up for what he believes in and sets a powerful example for his children. We pick up five stones. And what are these giants? But for those who know the sound of Goliath, David gives this reminder: Focus on giants -- you stumble; focus on God -- your giants tumble. People go crazy over him, yet I'm confused as many of the other more skilled writers get neglected. I super-extra-a lot loved his writing style! May God help you to follow Him and bless the reading of this book in an encouragement to follow Him. And while these giants try to dominate our lives, we know what to do! Whatever it is, he truly shows that God has given him a talent for taking difficult subjects and makes them easy to understand. Facing the giants is not like those movies.
I learned about this book from Ate Ellen and I'm glad I bought it. But just like David, you can face your giant, even if you aren't the strongest, the smartest, the best equipped, of the holiest. Spring could not enter the garden. Using scripture, asking questions of the reader, and directing readers to apply their own problems to scripture enables people to find solutions based on God and the Word. The answers and advice Max gives really seem to be a bit one-sided, if you ask me.

Yet, we need not face them alone. David's life has little to offer the unstained saint. I super-extra-a lot loved his writing style! Uniqueness of the Book The story of David is not an unfamiliar one. Its hard to do that when you have been trying to focus on God let him guide you and you get nothing but silence from him for years. This is the kind of book you keep on your shelf and pull out again and again when life is giving you a hard time. A man after God's own heart? I could say much more, but I was very happy to see this in print.

´T his movie was fantastic; it is a ³must-see´ for everyone. Oh, and a little Georgia football history loved that little part. I consider this book as powerful as psychoanalysis, maybe more. Focus on God, your giants tumble. No bad language and the story lines are wholesome and about things that are going on in today's society.
Wilson did a great job of more clearly presenting some of the points of the movie. Lucado explains why we fail when we focus on our giants, but will succeed if we focus on God. He really was inspired by God's spirit as he wrote this. Focus on God—your giants tumble. Unfortunately, their leading scorer has just left for a rival school and the team has lost its drive.
I didn't even think about Mephiboseth's role, but Lucado dedicated an entire chapter on David's adopted son! There were no flowers or birds. He has another book being pitched to publishers, and he's already working on more. Chumming with the Mafia the next. . I received this book Saturday and read it all the way through today, after watching the movie again yesterday.

Facing Your Giants: A David and Goliath Story for Everyday People by Max Lucado
I also learned a lot from the chapters on silent phones, desperate days, strongholds, thin air-ogance, and take Goliath down! Maybe it's the way he doesn't try to show off how educated he is and writes as if he's talking to someone face to face. What transpires is a dynamic story of the fight between faith and fear. But with God, we can defeat them. This book is probably the best - and my personal favorite - of all the books written about King David, his high's, his low's, his weaknesses, his strengths. Why make just a single reference to God as the only one having the answers and the power to allow you to conquer your giants? No one could go into the garden.
Focus on God, your giants tumble. My Lenten Study Book for this year. His old clunker of a car keeps dying, and the coach and his wife have been unsuccessful in their attempts to start a family. But when David focused on giants. Lucado did an excellent job here and it spoke greatly to me. I didn't much care for it, I thought everything he said over the course of the book could have been said just as easily in 7 or 8 chapters, but it dragged on for 12 chapters.
