Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) is a government-owned and controlled corporation responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of Clark International Airport in the Philippines. Located in the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, Clark Airport serves as an alternative to the heavily congested Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Metro Manila and serves as the gateway to Central and Northern Luzon.

The history of Clark Airport dates back to the 1930s when it was used as a training base for the Philippine Army Air Corps. In the 1980s, the Philippine government recognized the potential of Clark as an alternative international airport for Manila and began the development of the airport into a commercial hub. In 1991, the Philippine government created CIAC to oversee the operation and development of Clark Airport.

Since then, CIAC has made significant improvements to Clark Airport, including the expansion of the terminal building and the construction of a new runway. In recent years, CIAC has also focused on improving the passenger experience at the airport by upgrading amenities such as food and retail outlets, lounges, and baggage handling systems.

In addition to its role as an international airport, Clark Airport also serves as a hub for logistics and transportation in Central and Northern Luzon. The airport is home to a number of cargo airlines and is a major hub for air cargo in the Philippines.

Looking to the future, CIAC has ambitious plans for the further development of Clark Airport. These plans include the construction of a new terminal building to accommodate the growing number of passengers, as well as the development of additional infrastructure such as hotels, offices, and retail spaces.

Overall, CIAC has played a key role in the growth and development of Clark Airport as a major transportation hub in the Philippines. With its continued efforts to improve the passenger experience and expand the airport's capacity, CIAC is positioning Clark Airport to be a major player in the Southeast Asian aviation market.
