So what is the theme of Sūrah al-Fātihah? Obviously, you would want to display the basic etiquette of manners by telling Him that you have seen His generosity in your life, recognize and acknowledge His power and compassion, hence, you initiate by glorification and praise of the Lord of both worlds. I am personally, very well helped with the above one. There is no end to this lighted path. The Lord whose compassion envelops all, invites them to His limitless bounties, to an everlasting happiness which is the result of following the path of servitude and righteousness, the upright religion. His attribute of al-Rahman الرحمن includes abundance and generality of His blessings showered upon all servants, believer and non-believer alike.
