रक्षण करना और तोड़ने वाले को सजा मिलने के बारे में उल्लेख किया गया है। मानवाधिकार हमें एहसास दिलाता है कि पृथ्वी पर बसे सभी मानव एकसमान है। द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान हुई भारी जानमाल की हानि के बाद, संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने वर्ष 1948 में 10 दिसंबर को मानव अधिकारों की सार्वभौमिक घोषणा पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इन अधिकारों के गठन का कारण किसी की रक्षा करना है। ये मानवाधिकार लोगों को जीने की आजादी देते हैं और खुद को व्यक्त करने की आजादी भी देते हैं। बहुत से लोग अपने मूल अधिकारों के बारे में पूरी तरह से जागरूक नहीं हैं। सभी देशों की इतनी प्रगति के बाद आज भी लगभग 40 मिलियन बच्चे ऐसे हैं जो दुर्व्यवहार से पीड़ित हैं जिन्हें मानवाधिकारों से आच्छादित किया जाना चाहिए। दुनिया भर में आज भी लगभग 18 वर्ष से कम आयु के 3,00,000 से अधिक बच्चों का भी शोषण किया जा रहा है, यह मानवाधिकारों का आह्वान करता है। दुनिया भर में करीब 246 मिलियन बाल मजदूर हैं, जो मानवाधिकारों का उल्लंघन है। कई समाज में आज भी महिलाओं को अपने अधिकारों का प्रयोग करने से प्रतिबंधित किया गया है। एक शिक्षित नागरिक होने के नाते हमारी यह जिम्मेदारी है की हम अपने समाज के लोगों में मानवाधिकार के बारे में जागरुकता फैलाएं क्योंकि आज भी समाज में अज्ञानता और गरीबी के कारण कई दूषणों फ़ैल रहे है। मानवता के खिलाफ कोई भी अपराध मानव अधिकारों का उल्लंघन है। हर मानव अधिकार का उपयोग और उसका अनुपालन होना चाहिए। मानवाधिकारों को लागू करना पूरी तरह से सरकार का खुद का कर्तव्य है। अगर सरकार इन अधिकारों का रक्षण करने में निष्फल रहती है,तो प्रजा का यह अधिकार है की वो
